As We Start Anew

Many times when my heart gets focused on an important issue like fracking, there comes a day when it is necessary to step back, breathe, and believe anew.  Of course the changing of the year from 2011 to 2012 is definitely such a time.

I look back at a year personally full of amazing changes and challenges that made me grow.   Someone once said there are no mistakes in life - just experiences for learning and growth.  I look forward to a year of hope, faith and belief in the truth that only the Good will prevail.  Nothing less is possible.   Do we human beings tend to challenge ourselves with every test imaginable? - you bet.  Do we often slip and forget who and what we truly are? - you bet!

So such is the beauty of a new morning on a New Year's day.  Now is a perfect time for reflection, peace, and giving thanks for all that we have received and all that is still to come.

This poem was given as a gift to me so here I would love to share it with you on this very brand new morning.

Advice from a Tree
Stand tall and proud
Sink you roots deeply into the Earth
Reflect the light of a greater source
Embrace with joy of the changing seasons
Feel the wind and the sun
And delight in their presence
Seek nourishment from
the good things in life
Let your limbs sway
and dance in the breezes
Remember your roots and
Enjoy the view!
